About Us...
SVMC members all have at least one thing in common:
We are either mothers-to-be or mothers of children 5 years of age or younger. We are a community of moms (birth moms, adoptive moms, step moms, single moms) who come together to make new friends for ourselves, our partners, and our children. We gain support from one another, learn more about successful parenting by sharing ideas, and enjoy the rich diversity of so many women traveling through early motherhood together.
We have developed several ways to come together both with and without our children through monthly general meetings, weekly playgroups, "mom's only" and family events, educational events, and community outreach.
We believe this club has great potential to help improve and enrich the experience of early motherhood. We accomplish our goals on a purely volunteer basis and we encourage each member to give when they can, take what they need and participate to whatever extent feels comfortable.
Get Involved
The SVMC Board meets at 7PM the first Wednesday of every month. All members are welcome to attend. If you are thinking you might want to get more involved, this is a great way to start. The SVMC loves volunteers and extra helping hands! The meeting place varies from month to month; check the calendar on Big Tent for the location.
